“Fujiyoshida 2020 Host Town Promotion Exhibition – Omoide France”
As the Olympic Host Town for the France national rugby team during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Paralympic Games, Fujiyoshida City is striving not only to get the public excited about the games but to also leave a lasting legacy by developing a wide range of exchange opportunities.
As part of this effort, from December 1, 2020 through December 27, 2020, Fujiyoshida City implemented “Fujiyoshida 2020 Host Town Promotion Exhibition – Omoide France”.
The exhibition featured the official Tokyo 2020 art poster created by the Olympic Committee, photo submissions for the France Photo Contest, panels showcasing the city’s previous role as the pre-tournament training site for the France National Women’s Rugby Sevens Team and the costume creation project done in partnership with a former principal dancer of the Paris Opera, as well as a panel and other memorabilia from the city’s time hosting the France national team during the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
