This site was started to introduce news from around Japan related to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. It continues to post stories about interesting and unique regional news even after the Games.

About Foreign Press Center Japan (Website Operator)

Foreign Press Center Japan (FPCJ) was established in 1976 as a nonprofit foundation through funding provided by the Nihon Shimbun Kyokai (Japan Newspaper Publishers & Editors Association) and Keidanren (Japan Business Federation). In 2011, the FPCJ was registered as a public interest incorporated foundation.

The FPCJ helps foreign journalists gather news in Japan so that people around the world will gain a better understanding of Japan through diverse and accurate reporting.
