The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum is the world’s first public bonsai art museum opened in March 2010 adjacent to the mecca of bonsai, Omiya Bonsai Village; also, a sister museum of the National Bonsai & Penjing of the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington D.C. since August 2019.

You can enjoy the change of bonsai appearance throughout the four seasons with its’ permanent exhibition of 70 bonsai trees.

Also, on exhibit are bonsai pots; suiseki viewing stones; paintings, such as ukiyo-e, of bonsai; as well as historical reference materials. Even those who are not familiar with bonsai can feel free to visit and enjoy the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum.

*Saitama City is a host venue for football and basketball games of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
