About Namibia and Miyako City

Miyako is a coastal city in Iwate Prefecture, northern Japan, and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Host Town to Namibia. Namibia originally held an official rugby training camp in Miyako last year, ahead of the Namibia vs Canada match of the 2019 Rugby World Cup™ (held in Kamaishi, Iwate), and both parties decided to continue the relationship for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
